Sharing Is Caring

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, today I’ll be releasing my first free icon pack, which are available for download here. I had a great time dreaming up these little darlings and hope you’ll enjoy them too!

If you’re curious as to how many layers make up that cute-as-a-button Tiffany box, you can download a PSD of the entire set at 365psd.com.

Comic Sans Criminal

Queue Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal and check out this cleaver site by designer Matt Dempsey.  This beautifully crafted site acts as a typographic intervention for all those comic sans offenders out there.  Ehem, yes, you know who you are…

One Love Foundation

I, along with my partner Read at Relay Creative, were honored and humbled to be given the opportunity to work with the family of UVA student Yeardley Love in establishing the branding and creating the website for the the One Love Foundation.

The One Love Foundation will pursue a range of activities with one focus… to keep Yeardley’s spirit alive in others by promoting service, kindness, humility and good sportsmanship in young people.

For more information or to help support the foundation, please go to JoinOneLove.org Or, you could also join the growing 75,000+ Facebook fans and help make a difference.

Concept Sharing with Clients? Use Prevue.it

I rarely come across an online tool which I use so often and find so helpful that I would actually blog about it, but here we are.  So chuck Skitch or any other online sharing tool you’re using and check out Prevue.it.

The application is a free and simple white-label tool for design professionals to upload and share concept work either internally, or with clients. Specifically, the tool allows users to upload website concepts (foregrounds, and repeating backgrounds) and view as if they were coded – although the tool also works extremely well for individual image sharing.

Amongst various other features – users are able to group, annotate, drag and drop their work – then share individual or grouped concepts with others.

So if you need an invite, just give me a shout out, I have 2 more to spare!

I sent them the following pointers to help them reorganize/structure some of their content a little more clearly, which thankfully they found helpful and not obtrusive. Read the rest of this entry »
