A-1 Scrabble, a concept created by BYU graduate, Andrew Capener, is a beautiful study of typography taking a new spin on the classic boardgame.
So while you’re spelling out words like, Vexillology (yes, it’s an accepted scrabble word – look it up), you can also test out your typographic knowledge all on a stately walnut board that comes in a beautifully minimal birch box.

Fonts in Use, a new blog by designers Sam Berlow, Stephen Coles, and Nick Sherman, which catalogs and analyzes typography found in designs all over the world. From movie posters & signage to a butcher shop tag… it’s quite a typeaholic resource heaven.

Music Philosophy is a weekly graphic/typographic interpretation of philosophical song quotes by designer Mico. I’m a big fan of the project. The posters are super creative and nicely executed. They look great as an iPhone desktop wallpaper – oh, and they’re free for download, so enjoy!

Sans or Serif? Created by Stewart Walker, each piece is represented by its corresponding letter. Cast in resin, the size of each letter is roughly proportionate to its value, from p for pawn up to K for King.
White pieces are set in Caslon Bold Condensed and the black in Univers Bold Condensed, each respectively depicting the traditional and modern sides of typography.

Looking to stylize your poker night? Look no further than this beautiful “Swiss-style” deck by @uberryan.

Designed with both the typophile and card player in mind, Helveticards are the beautiful, usable alternative to the traditional deck of cards that both Vignelli and Brunson would be happy to deal.
